Why We Aren't Traveling to Converge in FL
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the ICF Converge Conference, Converge is a semi-annual global conference for all ICF Coaches. It is the only ICF event where coaches, from around the world, gather in person to participate in a venue designed to strengthen connections within the coaching community and it offers exceptional formal and informal learning opportunities. ICF Converge provides attendees with opportunities to advance their professional development, discover new avenues for personal growth, and learn about current trends and practices in the coaching profession. ICF held the first Converge event in 2017, drawing more than 1,600 attendees from 61 countries.
The second Converge occurred in 2019 and Coaches from 75 countries gathered in Prague, Czech Republic.
This year, 2023, Converge is being held in Orlando, Florida in August.
As coaches, we provide a safe space for ALL people. Inclusion is the cornerstone of our values and it provides an environment where acts are intentional and deliberate to embrace diversity. There are many conversations occurring in the coaching community about how our values surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion do not align with the current cultural climate in Florida. read more... | ICF Minnesota Welcome Call

The Gaston award recognizes a coach who exhibits distinguished service to the coaching profession and the ICF MN chapter. The award is in honor of Elaine Gaston, one of our founding members who received the first Gaston Award in 2006 for lifetime achievement and dedication to the coaching profession.
The Pathfinder is awarded to a coach who demonstrates clear and strong leadership within the ICF Minnesota chapter in support of the ICF MN mission and vision. The Pathfinder Award originated in 2021 as a way to recognize outstanding change, growth or innovation with a new ICF MN initiative.
Submit your nomination for either the Gaston or Pathfinder award by July 15, 2023.
Both awards will be given at our annual “Celebration of Excellence & Service in Coaching” in September 2023 (date & time TBD).
Our intention is to ensure that everyone has time and opportunity to nominate individuals who exemplify the true nature of the coaching profession.

| | | Victor Thompson recently graduated from the Center for Coaching in Organizations (CCO) Executive Coaching in Organizations Coach Training Program (ECO). ECO is one of the few programs of its kind specifically geared toward coaching in the organizational context, no matter the type of organization. The 9-month long program includes over 130 hours of classroom facilitation, fieldwork (actual coaching clients) and mentor coaching. During the program, Victor’s emphasis was on identity and how the intersection of our unique dimensions of diversity contributes to who we are, how we lead and our personal and professional transformations. | ICF MN Members!
