Jason Jones ICF-MN fills my bucket!! I look forward to the in person meetings to connect with my tribe of coaches and enjoy the way of being only coaches embody. It energizes me. https://s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/Jason_Jones_1992631113.jpg
Bev Lutz ICF membership provides incredible professional networking opportunities, professional and personal growth, and opportunities to explore my strengths as I volunteer in service of my profession.  My chapter really helps me stay current with coaching, thought leadership, and learn-n-earn (CEU’s) from professional development events.  But it’s the supportive coach-friends and collaborators who have made membership for me priceless. //s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/BevLutz1_669008720.jpg

Irene Kelly

Being a member of ICF offers me the opportunity for certification by the industry professional standard bearer; being a member of ICF Minnesota connects me to my professional peers for networking and collaboration.  Membership in both establishes me as “credible” and provides me opportunities to learn and grow.

Coaching Connection - What Makes a Question Powerful?

Facilitators:
 Prof Dev Team
Date: Thursday, Dec 4, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM CST
Location: Zoom

Description:

We’ve all been taught the importance of asking Powerful Questions. But what makes them powerful?

Join us for a relaxed morning of connection, reflection and collaborative learning with fellow coaches. Over coffee (virtually), we’ll explore the art and science of asking powerful questions. What distinguishes a question that opens insight from one that shuts it down? How do the words we choose shape the client’s responses, presence, and movement? Bring your favorite questions, your early-experiments and your “oops” questions that didn’t land — and let’s learn from each other.

Discussion Topics

  • What words in a question create “space” vs “density” for the coachee?
  • How does our intention of you as a coach shift the power of the question?
  • When have you asked a question that felt right but landed poorly — what changed?
  • How do follow-up questions (or silence) amplify or diminish the first question’s power?
  • What question are you going to stop asking (or change) because of what you’ve learned?
