Jason Jones ICF-MN fills my bucket!! I look forward to the in person meetings to connect with my tribe of coaches and enjoy the way of being only coaches embody. It energizes me. https://s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/Jason_Jones_1992631113.jpg
Bev Lutz ICF membership provides incredible professional networking opportunities, professional and personal growth, and opportunities to explore my strengths as I volunteer in service of my profession.  My chapter really helps me stay current with coaching, thought leadership, and learn-n-earn (CEU’s) from professional development events.  But it’s the supportive coach-friends and collaborators who have made membership for me priceless. //s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/BevLutz1_669008720.jpg

Irene Kelly

Being a member of ICF offers me the opportunity for certification by the industry professional standard bearer; being a member of ICF Minnesota connects me to my professional peers for networking and collaboration.  Membership in both establishes me as “credible” and provides me opportunities to learn and grow.

November President's Letter

President’s Letter

Yes, only 2 months left in 2019, where did the year go? Come November we are wrapping up 2019 and some are planning for 2020.  Are you in the midst of creating your goals for 2020?  Are your clients creating their goals?

There is something wonderful about “wiping the slate clean” and starting the New Year with new goals.  Do you plan to write your goals down?  Do you plan to share them?  Do you plan to give updates?

I am sure you have all seen the numbers- they vary by source, but I think they are still staggering.

  • 14% of people have a goal plan in mind, but these are unwritten goals.
  • Only 3% of all adults have written goals for the year.
  • People with written goals are 50% more likely to achieve than people without goals.
  • Only 8% of adults reach their goals in the year.
  • Studies by Gail Matthews at Dominican University has proved that strategies for effective goal achievement include writing goals down, sharing goals and providing confidants with one's progress updates.

ICF MN has a 3 year strategic plan and goals for the year.  We will be meeting as a board on Oct 28 to create our 2020 goals.  Deb Johnson, the 2020 President will be sharing these with all of you in January.  The board works for the members of ICF MN, you are our confidants and we are accountable to you to reach the goals.

This year I plan to have my 2020 personal and business goals completed by November 30.  This year I will be creating a “Manifestation Board” for my goals.  I wanted to give it a more results oriented name than “Vision” or “Dream” Board.

And, the best part about November to me is not about goals, it is a month to reflect on and share gratitude.  I am grateful that you allowed me to serve as your president in 2019. I am grateful for coaching, that we come from a place of abundancy vs. scarcity.  I am grateful for each and every ICF MN coach and coaching student who will continue to grow coaching; changing individuals, organizations, communities and the world! I could go on, but promised to keep this month’s letter short so I’ll just say a heartfelt THANK YOU!

Happy Gratitude Month!

Celebration of Dave Wondra, a 2019 ICF Global Circle of Distinction Award winner.

We are beyond thrilled and proud to announce that Minnesota’s own Dave Wondra has won an ICF Global Circle of Distinction Award for his outstanding work in coaching.

We will be celebrating Dave on November 8 at 12:00 PM at The Mediterranean Cruise Café, 12500 Nicollet Ave, Burnsville, MN, 952-641-6222.  Please join us if you can.  Thank you to John Owens for coordinating!
