Bev Lutz ICF membership provides incredible professional networking opportunities, professional and personal growth, and opportunities to explore my strengths as I volunteer in service of my profession.  My chapter really helps me stay current with coaching, thought leadership, and learn-n-earn (CEU’s) from professional development events.  But it’s the supportive coach-friends and collaborators who have made membership for me priceless. //s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/BevLutz1_669008720.jpg

Irene Kelly

Being a member of ICF offers me the opportunity for certification by the industry professional standard bearer; being a member of ICF Minnesota connects me to my professional peers for networking and collaboration.  Membership in both establishes me as “credible” and provides me opportunities to learn and grow.

Transformative Adult Social-Emotional Learning: Cultivating a Healing Path

SPEAKER: Sabrina Winkleman
DATE: August 23, 2022

TIME: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm  (Refreshments & Networking starts at 5:30 pm)

LOCATION: Metropolitan Ballroom, Golden Valley

CEU’s: 2

PROGRAM:

Transformative adult SEL cultivates five competencies:

  • self-awareness

  • self-management

  • social awareness

  • relationship skills

  • responsible decision-making

Robust research supports the cultivation and infusion of these competencies throughout our lifespans. Intentional and explicit development of the five competencies can occur through self-assessment and committing to engaging in certain frameworks, such as the SEL Three Signature Practices.

Consistent coaching of the five competencies inspires transformation in terms of identity, agency, belonging, collaborative problem-solving, and curiosity.

ICF Core Competencies Addressed:

1 Core Competency

1 Resource Development

Objectives:

To synthesize, connect to, and practice the what, why, and how of transformative adult social-emotional learning (SEL)

This session will support participants in:

  • identifying and connecting to the five competencies of transformative adult SEL through the lens of coaching

  • synthesizing the research associated with the five competencies

  • engaging with specific self-assessment tools and frameworks to develop their own transformative SEL skill set, as well the skill set of their clients
