Welcome to August!
I hope your summer has been full of fun, relaxation, and any summer pastimes you enjoy. I write this on the eve of the Summer Olympics and I am so excited to watch the best of the best showcase their talent and live out their dreams of becoming an Olympian. Their grit, determination, perseverance, and natural athleticism always inspires and you know they have incredible mental and physical coaches at their side along the way!
ICF MN has had a great summer of learning and connecting with each other. We had a fascinating and informative workshop about AI and coaching that gave everyone new ideas on how we can leverage AI to our advantage in our businesses and coaching. We also got together not once, but twice in July for Coaching Connections where we talked all things marketing. The energy was high and we plan to schedule more of these in the coming months. And as we do every quarter, we welcomed new and prospective members in our New Members call which are a chance to learn more about ICF MN and become more involved.
Last but not least, we conducted our Member Survey in June with an incredible response rate of over 170 people sharing their thoughts on how we can serve our membership and community in valuable ways. We heard loud and clear that learning, connecting, and being part of a supportive community are what you’re looking for from ICF MN, and while we dig into the findings in even more detail, we wanted to share existing and upcoming ways you can find all of these.
Learn: Did you know about ICF Global’s Thought Leadership hub? It’s full of wisdom and ideas around coaching trends, well-being, the workplace, and even the health of our planet.
Connect: We have several upcoming events to network and learn, including our next MCC Demo workshop led by Dr. Jo Blackerby, an Ethics Session where we’ll discuss a variety of coaching scenarios we might find ourselves in and how to handle them, and a special awards evening in September to recognize people and organizations making a difference through coaching and service. Head to our ICF MN to register - we’d love to see you there!
Supportive Community: If you haven’t already, check out ICF Engage for a way to communicate with other coaches here in Minnesota and beyond. It’s a great way to feel connected and supported.
Thank you for being a part of this community and sharing your voice. We hope to see you at one of our events soon!
Cheers,
Holly O’Hanlon
