Vision
ICF Minnesota is a trusted, inclusive, and sought-after catalyst for growth in the coaching community.
Mission
ICF Minnesota celebrates and promotes the development of a diverse community of coaches dedicated to serving others inclusively and equitably. | Letter from the President | | Greetings!
The end of the year is here, and with it my term as President of ICF Minnesota. It’s been an honor to serve as your President, and along with our incredible volunteer board and committee members, continue to build on an already strong organization here to create a space for coaches to learn, grow, and be in community with each other. I hope you have found new connections, support, and growth in your coaching skills by being a part of ICF MN this year. Thank you for the opportunity to serve this special community. I look forward to continuing the work as Past President and seeing you at one of our upcoming events in 2025. I’ve seen a preview of our calendar and they are going to be great!
I wish you the best holiday season available to you and yours, and now I’m thrilled to introduce you to your incoming President, Victor Thompson.
I’m Victor Thompson and will be beginning my term as President of ICF Minnesota in a few short weeks. I am honored to step into this role as we enter a new year full of promise and opportunity. I am grateful to Holly for her passion and dedicated leadership. She is leaving the organization in such a strong position to continue growing and thriving as a coaching community.
As we look ahead, my vision is to build upon the incredible momentum we’ve created together while ensuring that we continue to grow this chapter to be even stronger and more vibrant. Our mission “to celebrate and promote the development of a diverse community of coaches”, and our values of service, connection, growth, and inclusion, will continue to guide everything we do.
In 2025, collectively we aim to continue to deepen our connections within the coaching community by fostering meaningful relationships and creating more opportunities for collaboration and shared learning. We’ll also seek to amplify our commitment to inclusion, ensuring that every coach feels seen, supported, and empowered to make an impact.
So, as 2025 enters, I invite each of you to be a part of this journey. Share your insights, participate in events, and continue to invest in your own growth as a coach. Together, we can build a community that inspires, empowers, and creates lasting impact.
Thank you for entrusting me with this role. I look forward to serving you, learning from you, and collaborating with you to make 2025 a remarkable year for ICF Minnesota.
Wishing you a wonderful start to the new year!
Warm regards,
Victor Thompson

Description:
Effective communication is essential across all generations in every organization. Intergenerational communication can be either a source of conflict or can lead to cooperation, collaboration and networking opportunities. Influential coaches embrace new approaches and communicate in ways that engage all generations. Bridging the generational gap requires open communication with an awareness of the growing generational differences. | |

Introducing Auto Renewal for ICF MN Chapter Membership
We’re excited to announce a new, convenient option for ICF Minnesota chapter members—automatic membership renewal! Starting with your next renewal, you can now choose to have your membership automatically renewed each year. This means no more forgetting to renew or lapses in your membership benefits. With auto renewal, you can enjoy uninterrupted access to the resources, community, and opportunities that make your ICF Minnesota membership so valuable.
Auto renewal is available for both Member and Colleague membership types. When it’s time to renew, simply select the appropriate auto-renewal Membership Type option—either "Member Auto Renewal" or "Colleague Auto Renewal"—to activate this feature. This change ensures your membership will seamlessly renew each year, with payments processed automatically. If you have not saved a credit card in your membership record, the system will prompt you to enter one when setting up auto renewal. Members who choose this option will receive a notice before the automatic renewal occurs and a confirmation email once it has been processed, ensuring transparency.
If your needs change, you can stop auto renewal at any time. To remain a chapter member but discontinue automatic payments, email membership@icfminnesota.org, and we’ll update your membership type. If you wish to cancel both your membership and auto renewal, you can do so directly from your membership profile. We’re excited to offer this streamlined option and encourage you to make the switch during your next renewal. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help!

This is a three-year term starting with President-Elect, moving to President, and then serving as Past President.
Co-Director of Outreach & Partnerships: this role is a great fit for people who love connecting with and building relationships with outside organizations, business leaders, and associations to bring greater attention to the work of our chapter and to the coaching profession.
Co-Director of Marketing & Communications: if your strengths include, creativity, writing, and marketing, you’d be great in this role which partners with the other Co-Director in managing the marketing, advertising, public relations, community outreach and advocacy efforts for the chapter. This role supports other committees ensuring their messages and programs are promoted to our members and beyond.
