Jason Jones ICF-MN fills my bucket!! I look forward to the in person meetings to connect with my tribe of coaches and enjoy the way of being only coaches embody. It energizes me. https://s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/Jason_Jones_1992631113.jpg
Bev Lutz ICF membership provides incredible professional networking opportunities, professional and personal growth, and opportunities to explore my strengths as I volunteer in service of my profession.  My chapter really helps me stay current with coaching, thought leadership, and learn-n-earn (CEU’s) from professional development events.  But it’s the supportive coach-friends and collaborators who have made membership for me priceless. //s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/BevLutz1_669008720.jpg

Irene Kelly

Being a member of ICF offers me the opportunity for certification by the industry professional standard bearer; being a member of ICF Minnesota connects me to my professional peers for networking and collaboration.  Membership in both establishes me as “credible” and provides me opportunities to learn and grow.

Letter from the President

Dear ICF Minnesota Community,

Welcome to our March edition of the Catalyst! As we continue our journey in 2025, the world is swirling around us in unpredictable ways…the Bird Flu outbreak, government shutdowns and increased tensions just to mention a few. Reflecting on these and other developments, I’m reminded of our ICF Minnesota values to serve our communities with purpose, to create caring spaces and to foster growth and inclusion.

As coaches, our commitment to growth and inclusion compels many of us to engage with these issues proactively. By remaining open and curious in our coaching practices we can invite discussions that lead to more responsible outcomes and contribute to a more resilient and informed community. As an organization, ICF Minnesota will continue to offer opportunities that we believe will facilitate Growth, Inclusion and Connection within our coaching community.

Upcoming events in March such as the in-person Coaching Connection at FRGMNT Coffee, the online seminar on Setting Boundaries and the monthly DEIJB meeting on the 3rd Friday, each offer opportunities for you to connect, grow and be included. Even if you can’t find time to make it to one of these events, I encourage you to reach out to fellow members and engage in dialogues that foster mutual support and collective growth.

As always, I encourage you to share your thoughts on these topics and any other ideas you believe can propel our community forward. Your feedback is invaluable as we continuously strive to refine our initiatives and ensure they align with our mission and values.

Here’s to a month of innovation, inclusivity, and inspiring conversations. I look forward to the many ways we will grow together in 2025!

Warm regards,

Victor Thompson President, ICF Minnesota Chapter

Time: 4:45 PM - 6:15 PM CST
Topic: Immigrants and refugees: Who belongs?

As coaches we are continually helping our clients move from old to new stories. Come join us together to look at the global picture and how, as coaches, we can help cocreate the world of belonging. We invite ICF MN members to join us for a three-session media/video topic discussion of belonging through the lens of immigrants and refugees.

Prewatch for April 8th:
Video: Bioneers 2023 John A. Powell on Belonging without Othering: The Story of Our Future
He's the Director of the UC Berkeley’s Othering and Belonging Institute

Video: What does it mean to be a Refugee (2016 TED-Ed talk)

Stay tuned for May and June!

Please join us for one or all! How might deepening our understanding of immigrants’ and refugees’ stories enhance our understanding of one another and our clients and their stories?

Please consider reviewing the resources prior to our meeting. In the case of videos, we may also view together. (And if you are unable to attend, please feel free to review! Our gift to you!)

ICF Minnesota is a wise, rich, generous community. Bring you, your ideas and resources, too!
