Bev Lutz ICF membership provides incredible professional networking opportunities, professional and personal growth, and opportunities to explore my strengths as I volunteer in service of my profession.  My chapter really helps me stay current with coaching, thought leadership, and learn-n-earn (CEU’s) from professional development events.  But it’s the supportive coach-friends and collaborators who have made membership for me priceless. //s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/BevLutz1_669008720.jpg

Irene Kelly

Being a member of ICF offers me the opportunity for certification by the industry professional standard bearer; being a member of ICF Minnesota connects me to my professional peers for networking and collaboration.  Membership in both establishes me as “credible” and provides me opportunities to learn and grow.

            Bloom and Grow

May in Minnesota is a time filled with blossoms—lilacs, flowering trees, dandelions, and more. I felt particularly drawn to the trees this year. I marveled at their colors and scents. It was a joy to see them blooming. I also was captivated by the new growth I could visibly see all around me. This cycle of blooming and growing happens repeatedly in nature. What a spectacular design!

It is equally wonderful to watch people bloom and grow. People seem to notice and talk about it more frequently with kids and young adults; however, it happens to us all. Clients often reach out to coaches during their dormant periods as they try to “survive the winter.” The coach then gets a front row seat to supporting and seeing their client emerge from dormancy to bloom and grow. Isn’t it exciting to be a witness to such a transformation? I imagine this is something all coaches aspire to see happen with their clients.

As coaches, we go through the same process with times of dormancy followed by times filled with noticeable growth and sometimes blossoming. It is exhilarating to feel yourself growing and blooming. When was the last time you felt yourself bloom and grow? How did it feel? Who provided water, sun, and oxygen?! What have you shared with others about this experience?

Go ahead, bloom! And share it with ICF MN so we can celebrate with you!

Meet the Coach
Meet the Coach Video - Mary R.

Meet Mary Stieber Reynhout

1. What brought you to coaching?
Coaching has been a natural outgrowth of the career I’ve built as a multi-faceted talent development leader, career strategist, and HR practitioner and consultant. My graduate program in counseling psychology at the UMN still informs my coaching style and effectiveness. Because of the value I gleaned from assessments to increase my own self-awareness, I gained a deep appreciation for incorporating assessments like Hogan Leadership Suite and the EQ-i 2.0 into my coaching practice. My strong interest in coaching led me to complete a coaching program with the College for Executive Coaching to become an ICF-Certified Coach

2. Tell us about your coaching practice. (Niche, ideal client, etc.)
Primarily, I’m a leadership coach and career strategist. A few of my strong suits include building psychological fitness, adaptability, resilience, and emotional intelligence. Given previous leadership roles I held, I have expertise in coaching executives on ways to advance diversity, inclusion, and equity in their organizations; build multicultural and global teams; and lead organizational and culture change. I also offer read more...
