Biography
JUNE NORONHA is President and Principal of Noronha Consulting, a leadership coaching and strategic consulting firm. To her coaching and consulting work, she brings broad expertise in strategic thinking, board governance, organizational development, change management, human and especially indigenous rights, and the management and fostering of diversity and equity.
June’s long and varied career has spanned philanthropy, government, nonprofits and education, where she has guided people and organizations through numerous senior leadership and executive positions at regional and national levels. Born in Kenya and educated in the United States, she has studied in Kenya, France, Canada and the United States and worked in the US, Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.
A former chair of regional and national non-profit boards in the US, June works with current and emerging executives and leaders in philanthropy and nonprofits, individually and in teams. She is particularly skilled in working in international and intercultural situations. An author of several articles on strategy and international and multicultural education, she is also a skilled cross-cultural trainer and has presented and facilitated workshops on strategic planning, human rights and cross-cultural/diversity training in the U.S. and numerous countries abroad. She is skilled in conflict management and facilitation. Her coaching approach is compassionate and results oriented. She helps clients build on their strengths believing that each of them has the potential to shine in their lives and make an impact wherever they are. June brings a lifetime of international and cross-cultural leadership and learning to the support of individuals and organizations to achieve their highest potential.
June is a life-long learner. She enjoys music of all genres, traditional forms of art, and keeping closely connected with family and friends around the world. A refugee and immigrant to the US, June is passionate about bridging divides and advancing civil and human rights. She has garnered numerous national awards for her leadership and accomplishments in community development and international education.
June is a graduate of Macalester College, the Carlson School at the University of Minnesota and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
